Hatha Yoga classes with Sara
This traditional Yoga practice dates back to ancient India. The meaing of “hatha” is “force” and the term comes from Sanskrit words “ha” (sun) and “tha” (moon), symbolizing the union of opposing forces, as it is believed we all carry them in our selves.
Sara’s classes are a blend of functional movement, intentional breath and meditation. In 1 hour session you will experience a shift in your body and mood.
The class starts with intention setting (Sankalpa), a warm-up with Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar), followed by Yogic postures (Asanas). Each class is focused on certain body parts, releasing the tension and building strength at the same time. A class finishes off with breath work (Pranayama) and gentle meditation in Savasana.
Any level is welcome as all the postures can be adjusted. Yoga is very a individual practice so wherever you are at this stage in life, the practice is for you and can be accomodated to your preferences.
With consistent practice of Hatha yoga you can expect to reach mind-body connection, improve your overall mobility, flexibility, mental health, ROM, stamina and body functions. It will help you reach your fullest potential, prevent injuries or cure some discomforts or conditions in the body.
